Delete your TripKit account
Last updated: 10 July 2026
TripKit is developed by Sterix. This page explains how to request deletion of your TripKit account and the data associated with it.
Delete it in the app
- Open TripKit and go to the Settings tab.
- On iPhone, tap Account. On Android, open the menu (the icon in the top-right corner).
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
This permanently deletes your account, removes your cloud backup, and revokes the Google or Apple sign-in grant so TripKit no longer has access to your sign-in.
Request deletion without the app
If you can no longer open the app, email hello@tripkit.world from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account identity (the Google or Apple sign-in linked to TripKit).
- Your cloud backup: trips and their days, places, notes, ratings, photos and attachments you stored, checklists, badges, and app settings.
- Your blocked-members list.
What is kept
- Content you added to a shared trip (comments, photos, itinerary) stays part of that trip for its other members, because a shared trip belongs to the whole group, not only to you. Leave the trip before deleting your account if you want to withdraw that content first.
- Data stored only on your device is not affected by account deletion. Uninstalling the app removes it from the device.
Retention
Your account and its cloud backup are deleted right away. Residual copies held by our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) are purged within 30 days. After that we retain no personal data, except where the law requires it (for example, purchase records held by Apple or Google, not by us).
